Who owns the websites you create?
The website will all be set up by us, but should you wish to transfer it away at any time you are quite welcome. So you own the website.
Will my business own the domain name?
If you would rather the domain was in your name, please feel free to register it yourself. Then just let us know the username and password to your domain registrar, and we will point it to our hosting. Otherwise we register the domain as part of the package. Should you wish to transfer the domain away however, just ask and we will do
what needs to be done our end.
How do I choose a domain name?
Google places domain names very highly on its list of ranking factors. If we want to rank highly in the search engines for a phrase, the first thing we do is register that phrase as a domain name.
If you would rather go with something other than your business name for your domain name, we advise you to
choose a phrase you would most like to be found for. We will work on getting you ranked for a variety of phrases, but if you to want to go with something other than your business name, I would advise you to choose your main key phrase to register.
How will we preview the design to make sure we are happy?
What we will do to get things started is set up a first draft on our servers to preview the design. This will be just the homepage hosted on our domain. Then once you have approved the design we will move the website to your chosen domain, and that’s when we will set up the hosting.
This is to ensure you are 100% happy with what we can do for you before you commit to the monthly fee.
Can you tell me more about the direct debit company you work with?
At this time we only work with Ezidebit as we have so many clients on our books paying various amounts monthly. We pay Ezidebit to make sure all the payments are made on time. There is no need to worry about your bank details. It’s far safer than say, giving them out on TradeMe. It’s just like setting up with a gym membership, except you are not locked in. This is what these companies are mostly used for. Ezidebit are very well known in Australia, and are a very reputable company. You can read more about them here:
Am I able to pay month by month?
Yes. The monthly payments are made every month from your nominated NZ business account or NZ credit card.
When would you need the first month’s fees?
Nothing is done until you are happy with the design. Once you ok the design, we will send you through an email outlining our needs to continue. Before the website goes live, we will send you through our direct debit forms. You simply fill them out and either scan and email, fax or post back to us. Once you are all set up we will go ahead with creating the rest of the site.
What else is included with the monthly fees?
The monthly fees includes membership to our website at http://OnlineMarketingHQ.com – membership fees alone are usually US$47 per month. What sort of time frame do the websites take to build?
Depending on our volume of orders, you should have a first draft within 3-4 days from when you submit the application form.
I would like to update my website myself, is this possible?
You can add as much content as you like to the CMS (content management system) when it is moved to your domain and the hosting is set up. Once the design is in place, we have a series of tutorial videos that teach you how to update your own content. It is a slight learning curve, but no more than learning to use your email.
Do you have traffic counters on each page?
These are fitted as standard to every site.
Is there an email address attached to the domain?
Yes you can have up to as many email addresses as your quota will allow.
You mention RSS feed submission and how powerful it is, What is RSS?
Our CMS automatically generates an RSS feed which we submit to RSS directories. People can search the feeds, then read the content from your website directly in a reader. The directories create a network of backlinks to your site also, which Google loves.
Can you create e-commerce sites?
We use one eCommerce cart plugin which accepts PayPal, Google Checkout, 2Checkout or offline payment. If you wish to use any other merchant accounts we won’t be able to help you. If you wish to use our cart I can set up one product for you, then our tutorial will show you how to set up the rest of your products
